Ajay Devgn to make a biopic on The Ramsay Brothers

Producer Priti Sinha who is partnering with him on this film has acquired the rights.

The flagbearer of the Horror genre in India, the Ramsay Brothers have a great story into becoming one of the most renowned names in the Indian Film Industry. To take their story to the masses, Ajay Devgn along with Priti Sinha have acquired the rights of the great journey of The Ramsay Brothers and would be producing the project together. Titled 'The Ramsay Biopic', it is written by Ritesh Shah.

Talking about the project Priti Sinha shares, "The late Shri Tulsi Ramsay and Shyam Ramsay along with every member of the Ramsay family instilled their faith in us by giving us their biopic rights.  Ajay and I are honored and excited to depict the fascinating journey of passion, hardships and immense success of 3 Generations of the Ramsay family who successfully set up the horror empire in India."

The Ramsay Brothers have given the Indian Film Industry epic films like Veerana, Purana Mandir, Purani Haveli amongst others and have created renowned television show Zee Horror Show.

SRK gracefully lauds Ajay's 100 films!

Ajay Devgn has had a formidable run in Indian cinema. Entering the industry in 1991, the actor-filmmaker and two-times National Award-winning actor has given 100 films; some entertaining, some evergreen in his 30-year- tenure.

His next film is the highly-anticipated magnum opus Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior.  Coincidentally this is also his 100th film.  Celebrating the momentous occasion, the Badshah of Bollywood,  Shah Rukh Khan gracefully agreed to share a special impression of the actor from Tanhaji, a picture that also showed a thoughtfully-curated collage of various roles done by Ajay in his long run at the box office.

In his inimitable style, Shah Rukh, a global icon, producer and superstar tweeted, "Here’s looking forward to another 100 and more films from my friend @ajaydevgn. From an action entertainer to a biopic thriller, the four projects toplined by filmmakers - #UmeshShukla #SabbirKhan  #SajidSamji and #SashiKiran Tikka (Goodachari, in Telugu) - are evidence of the Studio’s concentrated effort towards becoming a local production content power house.

Bhushan Kumar produces Sanjay Gupta directorial ‘Mumbai Saga’

With the completion of 25 years in the Hindi Film Industry, Sanjay Gupta is ready to helm the director’s seat with ‘Mumbai Saga’ produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series. Set in the 1980s-’90s revolving around all that went into transforming Bombay into Mumbai, this gangster-drama, is an ensemble film. Starring John Abraham, Emraan Hashmi, Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty, Prateik Babbar, Gulshan Grover, Rohit Roy, Amole Gupte and others, the film will go on floors next month.

Speaking on the film, producer Bhushan Kumar says, “Mumbai Saga is our first in the gangster drama genre and who better than Sanjay to direct it. The film is inspired by true events yet makes the characters so larger than life. The entire cast will bring so much to the table.”

Sanjay Gupta adds, “ 25 years, 17 films later I had to give my audience something bigger and better. Mumbai Saga is by far my most ambitious film which needed a visionary producer. And I am grateful to Bhushan Kumar for putting his faith and might in it. is one such story that needs to be said on screen.”

The film is likely to release in 2020.

Anand Pandit's much awaited 'Chehre' starring Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi, directed by Rumi Jaffrey has wrapped its shoot 4 days earlier from the actual planned date!

Due to efficient planning and a strategic shoot schedule spearheaded by the makers, the film has completed its shoot in advance, with the post production stage to begin. The film has already piqued our curiosity with an innovative look of Mr Bachchan, revealed on social media.

festival called Mamangam where he will be seen playing a mysterious character with multiple looks in the film.

Mamangam was a religious festival which was held once in 12 years at Thirunavaya, on the banks of Bharatapuzha in Kerala. For 280 years fierce battles were waged by

a few men against a mighty king during Mamangam. The film will showcase a story of one great real hero and one glorious unknown hero. This is the first Malaylalam to be released in four languages- Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

This movie is one of the biggest and one of the most expensive movies made in Malayalam cinema and is set in the 1695. The movie showcases a wide action sequence of Kalaripayattu, the Indian martial art and the oldest martial art in the world from the land of its origin and the action sequences are choreographed by Sham Kaushal. 

Along with Mammootty, the movie also stars Achutan, Sudev Nair, Sidhique, Unnimukundan, Sureshkrishna and Manikkuttan. Mamangam is directed by M. Padmakumar and is produced by Venu Kunnappilly of Kavya Films. The film is slated to release in the last quarter of 2019

Taapsee Pannu marks Women's Day as her release date, yet again!

Taapsee Pannu who is known for her incredible work in content driven cinema is taking over Women's Day, marking it as her release date. The actress who has given us some of the best cinematic experiences with her relatable, strong characters, had a huge success with her recent women's day release, Badla.

The actress is now taking over International Women's day of 2020 with Thappad, a social drama, which is inspired by true-life incidents. The film will reunite Taapsee Pannu and Anubhav Sinha after their 2018 outing, Mulk. The director-actress duo were keen on collaborating again for another brave project. Anubhav had decided on casting Taapsee while they were still shooting Mulk. 

Thappad is a female-oriented subject that questions the society and Taapsee’s protagonist will be a middle-class girl. The film will feature a strong supporting cast. 

Anubhav who has penned down the social drama will also be producing the film, which is set to go on floors in late August and will be shot in Delhi.

The film is produced by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures & Saraswati Entertainment Private Limited. Anand  Pandit  Motion Pictures has been at the forefront of successful cinematic ventures such as Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Sarkar 3, Satyamev Jayate, Bazaar and the recent blockbuster Total Dhamaal.

Producer Anand Pandit speaks on his association with this exciting project and thespian Amitabh Bachchan, "My friendship with Mr Bachchan goes back a long way. I have not met any other actor who matches his skill and commitment. It is an honor to be a part of creating a film with him, and I have always admired Emraan's body of work, so am looking forward to seeing him onscreen with the legend for the first time. Given the subject of the film, I do believe we have a winner in our hands."

Writer Director Rumi Jaffrey adds on returning to direction with such a fascinating storyline and casting coup of getting Mr Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi together, "A film is a collaborative effort and when you have one of the best actors in front of the camera and a veteran producer behind the lens supporting you and leading all creative efforts, then making the film is a fantastic experience!"

While the other details around the film are heavily under wraps, initial reports have suggested it to be a thrilling entertainer, keeping audiences by the edge of their seats to watch Mr Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi facing off against each other in pivotal roles along with veteran actor Annu Kapoor. 

The film will begin its first shooting schedule on 10th May with the dynamic duo...do watch this space for further updates on this exciting project!

Monday Blues? Khiladi Kumar, Kriti Sanon & Kartik Aaryan will save the day!

You may have heard of guest appearances in movies and serials, but the makers of Luka Chuppi bring audiences something out of the box. Their latest promotional video featuring leads Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon see superstar Akshay Kumar groove with them.

The clip begins with a dapper looking Kartik boogie to the film’s foot tapping song “Poster Chapwa Do”, as a beautiful Kriti step in a few seconds later. Their crackling chemistry exudes a never seen before magic. The lovable pair is just about to finish when an electrifying Akki jumps in from nowhere. 

Khiladi Kumar gives the young duo some stiff competition with his snazzy moves, leaving the couple as well as viewers spellbound with his vintage charm. The melody in question was originally from Akshay’s 1997 hit Aflatoon that saw him performing with co-star Urmila Matondkar. White Noise studios have recreated the retro number for generation next, with dance sensation Vijay Ganguly helming choreography. 

By the looks of it, Akshay seems to be quite gung ho about this brand new version. The trailer has already left fans gushing over the adorable romance between the film’s stars, and if Akshay’s excitement is anything to go by, its music will have the same effect on everyone. 

The track Poster Chapwa Do goes live on Tuesday. Luka Chuppi, a film by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan (Maddock films) releases in theatres on the 1st of Match, 2019.
