Farah Khan, Sajid Khan and David Dhawan Launch Jeet Gian's The Three Wise Monkeys

Amidst great tongue-in-cheek humour, jokes and gags blockbuster comedy trio Farah Khan, Sajid Khan and David Dhawan launched author Jeet Gian's second book The Three Wise Monkeys at Sun & Sand, Juhu, Mumbai.

After tasting success with his debut book The 3 U-Turns of My Life, Jeet Gian, who is a Chartered Accountant and founding partner of JCA Consulting Group, Dubai couldn't help but be more excited at the launch of his second book and the occasion only got bigger and better with the presence of the three renowned comedy film directors.

Jeet who seemed very excited at the launch spoke passionately about his book, "The Three Wise Monkeys is a ready reckoner on how to make easy and quick money by simply working indoors wearing shorts from…prison! No seriously, though this book is a humour genre but the contents are subtle and serious involving current burning issues, such as hoarding of black money within the country and outside country in foreign offshore accounts with Switzerland and Mauritius using third party nominee directors to hide ultimate beneficial owners (UBO)."

He further added, "I have tried through funny characters and through funny situations to entertain and at the same time gibe at our CA profession, relationship between middle aged married couples of high society, rich businessmen craving for name, fame and awards, greedy bankers and unwillingness among politicians to deliver the promises made to the public during the elections. Like my previous book, this book is also a suspense, which reveals in bits and pieces at regular intervals to intrigue readers. Lastly, this book will help young India how to make quick money by selling…kidney!"

Having said that the book does seem very relatable almost to the point of being inspired by real life cases. Ask Jeet if that's the case and he says, "No, but it’s inspired from the real life events of our ancestors, that is, monkeys and their philosophy 'See no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil'."

Launch of the book ‘The Village of Pointless Conversations’

After the success of Homi Adajania's film Finding Fanny, the makers are now released a book based on the film. Written by Kesri Khambatta, the book is titled The Village Of Pointless Conversation. 

The book was launched in the presence of Twinkle Khanna, Homi Adajania and Naseerudin Shah. They even read a few excerpts from the book!

Amitabh Bachchan Launches Illustrious Book of the late KA Abbas, who gave him break with Saat Hindustani!

Mr Amitabh Bachchan graced the special Book launch 'BREAD BEAUTY REVOLUTION of the writings of the late Khwaja Ahmad Abbas, a noted writer and film maker who gave Mr Bachchan his debut break in Saat Hindustani.

The event saw the presence of the co-editors of the book , Syeda Hameed and Iffat Fatima along with Shabana Azmi, Atul Tiwari, Zakia Zaheer, Shri, DP Tripathi, Neelima Azim and more,

The nostalgia event showcased a flashback of the works and life of the late Khwaja Ahmed Abbas and some anecdotes were shared by Amitabh Bachchan on his debut film too!! The book launch saw some lovely ghazals and shayari sessions as well, ending on a sweet note as the old friends and colleagues came together to celebrate the life of K A Abbas (1914-1987), writer, producer, director, journalist and author.

Celebrity Chef Rakhee Vaswani launches her first book ‘Picky Eaters’ with Malaika Arora Khan

Mumbai, November 04, 2015:  An evening of food and laughter, the who’s who of the F&B Industry made it to the launch of Celebrity Chef Rakhee Vaswani’s first ever cook book ’Picky Eaters’ at China House, Grand Hyatt today. Unveiled by the gorgeous Malaika Arora Khan, yummy mummy of a picky eater herself, the book launch was a huge successamidst much celebration, fanfare and free flowing food and spirits!

​​Another highlight of the event was an interactive, fun, panel discussion with Malaika, Chef Rakhee, food expert Kunal Vijayakar, masterchef Ranveer Brar and the brilliant Radhika Mukherjee, owner of The Big Red Bus and singer Shaan’s wife.  Not only did they speak about the book but also shared their personal experiences with Picky Eaters and their most cherished food memories. This was followed by a entertaining rapid fire session that could the crowd in splits!

Also present at the launch were industry stalwarts such as Saransh Goila, Vicky Ratnani, Kshama Prabhu, Tanai Shirali, Rushina Munshaw Ghildiyal and popular celebritites like Mansi Joshi Roy, Gauri Tejwani, Shaheen Abbas and many more!

The gorgeous mum, celebrity chef, TV show host and now author Chef Rakhee Vaswani said, “All the recipes mentioned in the book are ones I've made at home for my kids. I've recognized their palate and turned them into children who eat everything. This is what the book Picky Eaters aims at doing in the long run.  I personally feel that it is absolutely possible to make healthy food at home which is still restaurant-like in taste and appearance. I am so humbled today and I’d like to thank everyone for their unconditional love and support – especially my husband Mahesh and kids Aneeshaa and Akhil.”
