AR Murugadoss reveals the reason behind Sonakshi Sinha's scar in Akira

The poster of Akira has definitely created a lot of curiosity among moviegoers about the film. Whats interesting is that the scar that is visible on Sonakshi's forehead has an interesting back story to it. 

Director A R Murugadoss  wanted to establish that she has gone through enough but isn't weak to stand up and fight it out. Talking about the same, he says, "In life every scar that occurs on our body has a story behind it.Similarly Akira has a past wound that has dried up & remains a scar now .The moment we see her face we should come to know that she has had a painful past. that's why I created the scar under her eyes."

The first song from the movie 1920 London titled Gumnaam was launched yesterday amongst much fanfare.Present at the launch were the lead pair of the film Sharman Joshi and Meera Chopra along with music composer Pritam.Also present at the occasion were debutant composers Akash and Kaushik who were introduced by Pritam to the media.  

Sadma Is Not Being Shelved!, Says Director Lloyd Baptista

Mudslingers beware, filmmaker Lloyd Baptista isn't among those who'd take it lying low. While many are rubbishing off his much awaited remake of the critically acclaimed '80s hit Sadma by saying with Kareena's ouster from the project the film is shelved, Lloyd is going strength to strength to make it his magnum opus! 

Refuting the rumours Himanshu Jhunjhunwala of Dwapar Promoters, the spokesperson, says, "There's no truth in the stories doing the rounds. Neither has Kareena turned down the project nor has the film been shelved. We aren't saying Kareena is on board neither are we saying she rejected the film. My request to journalists is to at least confirm with us or the director before filing any rubbish."

It is learnt that even the reports of Vidya Balan being approached to essay the role played by Sridevi in the original film were false. Speaking on the matter Lloyd says, "I request media to relax on this matter and all details of the film shall come out soon. This is a very big film and I want to do full justice to its remake. No decision shall be rushed. We have roped in leading casting director Mukesh Chabra to do the casting for the film and the names will be revealed after being locked."

Sadma remake will be made both in Hindi as well as English. The casting even for the Hollywood project is on.

Sunny Leone and Daniel Weber Celebrate Their Anniversary During One Night Stand Promotions

Sunny Leone who is currently busy promoting her upcoming film One Night Stand was in for a surprise when she reached Jaipur to promote her film. The actress who completed five years of marriage with husband Daniel Weber today received a grand welcome by the hotel.

Not only did the hotel arrange for a horse carriage for the couple, they even welcomed them with garlands when they arrived at the hotel. They even arranged for a cake and had a small celebration with the hotel staff.

Sunny and Daniel were really touched by this gesture and they personally thanked the staff for making this day so special for them. Now isn't that really sweet!

London-based Indian model Pearl Raah to be part of Bigg Brother 17 in the UK?

18-year-old Pearl Raah's career seems to have taken a quantum leap out of the blue. If sources are to believed, she has been invited by the makers of Bigg Brother in the UK to be part of the coming season - Bigg Brother Season 17.  

Pearl is also doing a couple of Bollywood films and was last seen meeting popular Bollywood director and producer Mahesh Bhatt at his Mumbai office. 

Big Brother 16 was the 16th season of the American reality television series Big Brother which concluded on 23rd September last year. CBS had earlier announced that it had renewed the contract with Big Brother for its seventeenth and eighteenth editions for broadcast during the summer of 2015 and 2016. Both the series would continue to be hosted by Julie Chen. 

The season premiered on June 24, 2015, on CBS, and once again was a two-night launch with the following episode airing on June 25, 2015. The season ended on September 23, 2015, with a 90-minute season finale following the fall season premier of Survivor: Cambodia. The season also featured the highest number of house guests to date with 17 in total. On September 23, Steve Moses won the game in a 6-3 vote against Liz Nolan. 

According to a report on a prominent news portal, London-born teenage NRI model Pearl Raah may possibly also be Salman Khan‘s new face for “Dabaang 3“. The report states that the 18-year-old Pearl Raah who is a good, close friend of Salman Khan is being mentored and tutored by the Badshah of Bollywood for a forthcoming project.

Meanwhile another report, says Salman Khan has a new “friend” in his life? The report goes on to mention that if sources are to be believed, Salman Khan has a new ‘woman’, oops ‘friend’ in his life. And the new friend is none other than 18-year-old, London-born NRI teenager Pearl Raah. It seems the two met when Salman Khan visited London last year and hit off very well. They chatted for hours and it is rumored that Salman Khan even invited Pearl to have dinner with him. The two have been in constant and daily touch on phone and IM since then.

Says a source close to Pearl Raah, “We knew that she was ‘good friends’ with Salman Khan for the last few months, but we can’t say for sure if it’s a relationship. Salman is a very helpful guy and he spent a long time with Pearl trying to explain to her the nuances of the film industry. Pearl, who has applied for a Masters in Business Administration course from a prominent University in London has plans to shift to Mumbai very soon. Her family is not in favor of shifting to Mumbai, but Pearl seems to have made up her mind. She is all set to storm Bollywood – of course with ‘bhai’ help and blessings. A little birdie told us that Pearl is looking for a flat in Bandra and as usual ‘bhai’ has given her the mobile numbers of all his top real-estate friends. We wonder if there is anything more to this friendship? Only time will tell. Wait and watch this space as well spill the beans.

'The Jungle Book' Director Jon Favreau nabs PETA US Award For CGI Animal Cast Digitally Created Animal Characters Star in Live-Action Disney Flick

When Jon Favreau set out to direct Disney's live-action The Jungle Book, which debuts on 8 April in India, he was tasked with bringing to life some of the most iconic animal characters ever seen on screen, from Baloo the bear to Shere Khan the tiger. But rather than relying on abused captive animals to create the film, Favreau turned to advanced computer-generated imagery (CGI), explaining, "It's amazing what they can do with [creating the appearance of] fur and live-flesh animals, and so every day I go into work it's astounding what these visual effects artists accomplish."

The result is a realistic yet mythical world filled with larger-than-life, anthropomorphic animals who live, breathe, fight, and flee amidst lively, lush scenery. And in thanks for Favreau's compassionate decision, PETA US is presenting the director with an Innovation in Film Award.

"Forward-thinking directors like Jon Favreau know that the future of film lies in technical wizardry, not in beating animals into performing," says PETA India Associate Director of Celebrity and Public Relations Sachin Bangera. "PETA calls on directors and producers throughout Bollywood to follow in Jon Favreau and Disney's progressive footsteps."

As technology progresses—and as filmmakers learn how animals suffer from deprivation and abuse in the entertainment industry—the use of digital effects to portray animals is increasing.
