Multiplex chains have added midnight show to accommodate audience demand and single screens are going houseful. 

The film is expected to further grow in the coming days.

Soon she will be seen sharing the screen with Madhuri Dixit, Rajit Kapur, Sheeba Chaddha and Gajraj Rao for Maja Maa. Recently the makers dropped the trailer of the film and audiences can’t wait to unravel her never seen before avatar. Speaking about working with such an ensemble cast, Barkha Shared, “I find myself very lucky to be a part of a film like Maja Maa and share screen space with Madhuri Dixit, Sheeba Chaddha, Rajit Kapur and Gajraj Rao. Anand Tiwari was such a visionary captain of the ship. They all are so experienced and have such an amazing body of work behind them. When I got over the initial jitters, I learnt a lot by observing them. They were very sweet to give timely advice and tips on how you can read and interpret a scene better.”

The actress further added, “When we were shooting outside Mumbai, we would do dinners, movies and they would bring little gifts for us if they found something interesting. We were like a big family. I have learnt a lot about my craft and myself on this film. It’s been a phenomenal experience.”

The trailer of much awaited suspense-thriller Dhokha Round D Corner, directed by proficient director Kookie Gulati was unveiled today. The trailer holds an intriguing narrative and also has a captivating storyline. The trailer reveals that every character has it’s own truth and it’s own story. 

Speaking about the trailer director, Kookie Gulati said, “ The most important thing to make a thriller intriguing is to keep the audience at the edge of the seat, they should be engaged and involved in the story as well as the characters and they should be constantly thinking about what’s going to happen next. According to me, the film and the trailer is for today’s audience, the audience demands content now and I think Dhokha’s story is exactly what the audiences need. Akshay Kumar and Rakul Preet Singh starrer Cuttputlli’s trailer was unveiled recently and it created a massive buzz amongst the audience. After launching the most intriguing and captivating trailer, the makers decided to take the buzz a notch higher by releasing the first song of the film - Saathiya which is a delightful love ballad.

Akshay Kumar and Rakul Preet will share the screen space for the first time ever and their chemistry appears to be extremely refreshing already. Sung by Zahrah S Khan and Nikhil D’souza, Saathiya has been shot in a very stylish manner. Along with being a romantic number, the Saathiya sets a blooming and cheerful vibe at the same time. The music and lyrics are by the supremely talented Tanishk Bagchi. 

After the release of the first song of the film Akshay Kumar said, “ “We had a massive set built in London for this one, from cars to airplanes to even hot air balloon, we had it all.

Rakul and I really enjoyed shooting this peppy romantic number. Tanishk has done an impressive job with the music of Saathiya. It’s the tune that you will listen to while driving and even groove at a party, it will grow on you and before you know you’re humming it. It's one of my favourites from the album.”

Speaking about Saathiya, Tanishk Bagchi said, “It was a different experience altogether to build this love song. I had a lot of fun producing this track along with the music supervisor Azeem Dayani, have added an African drop to this love song giving it a different feel than a typical bollywood love song. Zahrah and Nikhil D'Souza's voices adds the fun yet soulful element to it. Saathiya has a very fun vibe and I hope that the audience enjoys this.”

The leading lady of the film Rakul Preet added, “Saathiya is one of my most favourite songs from the film. I think its a very refreshing melody, its after very long I have heard a romantic melodious track. I truly believe that this will touch people’s hearts. The energy, the tune, the romance, the peppy upbeat romance that the song has is amazing. We shot this in beautiful locations with 10-11 Rovers and 3-4 big planes and us standing on top of the wings and dancing. And I remember it was cold and I was in a corset but nevertheless i thought its come out well and its truly worth it and of course working with Akshay Sir and matching to his energy and Ganesh master choreographed it, so all in all I think I love this song and really hope that people like it.

Also, with this song, Akshay Kumar leaves no stone unturned to prove that he is the real Khiladi! Not just cars and massive airplanes, Khiladi Kumar is seen romancing Rakul on a hot hair balloon in this new romantic number!

Talking about her character, Barkha Singh shared, “Sanya is such a Girl-Next-Door, so whenever I have portrayed Sanya it's always been straight from the heart and that is why so many people can connect and relate to Sanya. On the success of De Dhakka 2, Riya says that she considers herself lucky to have received the chance to sing this song. She adds, "I want to thank director Mahesh Manjrekar and composer Hitesh Modak for giving me such an important song."

Riya aspired to become a singer since childhood and was the second runner-up in the popular 2017 music competition, Om Shanti Om. Since then, she has been imprinting the town with her singing. Baba Ramdev, singer-composer Shekhar Ravijani, actress Sonakshi Sinha, and singer Kanika Kapoor Om Shanti Om's judging panel. Aparshakti Khurana hosted it. 

While for some, just making her presence felt on the stage of Star Bharat would be an achievement in itself. But Riya went ahead and won the second runner-up title. After the reality show, Riya got absorbed in her stage shows around the country and abroad, though the desire to sing in films burned bright. The success of the song Deh Petude has brought her into the limelight, and she has begun getting offers for playback singing.

Riya was born and brought up in Bokaro Steel City, and the success of Om Shanti Om bestowed her with the tag of Chas Bokaro's daughter. After completing high school at DPS Bokaro in 2014, she went to Delhi for further studies.

She said I did a few years of my schooling in Bluebells School International When I was really small. & then also studied music in Miranda House, Delhi University & used to stay near North Campus. 

I love Delhi for it's extraordinary food & famous street shopping. I have loads of college memories where we used win a lot of Inter college music competitions. Delhi surely has an important role to play in my musical journey.while simultaneously preparing for music competitions. In 2017 her talent was recognized by the judges of Om Shanti Om, making her a well-known singer.

Riya says there is no singer in the family, but, "My mother is very fond of music, and she always encouraged my singing. She has full faith in my talent. So she always encourages me to sing better." Riya.

Riya's heartfelt wish is to lend her voice to songs for actresses Alia Bhatt and Amrita Khanvilkar. Riya is an engaging performer, a melodious singer, and quite good-looking. So, if offered a role in a film or web series, will she accept it? "I don't know if I will be able to act or not, but if any offer comes, then there is no harm in trying. Although I am naturally shy, time will tell how successful I will be."

Would she participate in more reality shows? "I don't want to be a part of a singing reality show once again at this point because I want to focus on my playback singing journey." She wants to pen and compose songs and work towards being a better musician. All the best to her!
